cena red dot pro LIM a Very
Bad Münder, 12. duben 2010
A red dot for the LIM light and Very conference chair: two Haworth products have recently been proclaimed winners of the highly coveted red dot award 2010 for product design. It is the second prestigious award this year for both products. The Haworth light received an iF 2010 product design award and was credited as one of the top 50 "best in competition" products and the chair won the "Good Design 2009" award.
Since 1955 the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westphalen has been marking outstanding international product designs with a red dot. This year's competition attracted a record 4,252 entries submitted by 1,636 companies from 57 different countries. The award-winners will be honoured at a special ceremony in Essen on 5 July 2010.
Paul Olesh, Vice President Product Marketing, Product Development & Supply Chain Europe said: "We are absolutely delighted that two of our products have been awarded red dots. Haworth is committed to developing and manufacturing products featuring a harmonious symbiosis of form and function based on our design point of view. These awards prove we are on the right track."
LIM is a multi-purpose, multi-task LED light for office, institutional, hospitality and residential applications. This refined and elegant light was designed by Pablo Pardo of Pablo Designs and Ralph Reddig from the Haworth Design Studios. The light's magnetic and pivot platforms, small base and attachment methods ensure easy adjustment and 180° rotation for greater application flexibility. LIM also meets strict environmental standards since it is crafted from recycled aluminium and its LEDs have a life span of up to 50,000 hours.
The award-winning Very conference chair is just one of a four-model range designed by the Haworth Design Studio and the German designer Simon Desanta. The other three models are suitable for applications such as seminars, cafeterias and even theatre-style seating. All four chairs come with a wide range of variations that underline Very's versatility. The most striking design features are the chair's harmonious contours and choice of ten colours - including some uncommon ones such as Tomato or Canvas. Another advantage is the net-like, perforated backrest structure, which ensures Very always plays a discreet role in any surroundings. Last but not least, Very is 98% recyclable - in tune with Haworth's commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
